Sunday, February 11, 2007Free Online Writing ClassHere's something interesting from Bedazzled Ink. Want to learn the basics of fiction writing the easy way? Want the answers to those niggling editorial questions like: What's the correct punctuation? Am I using too much passive voice? Am I telling instead of showing? What exactly is POV and why should I care? How do I know when a story is polished enough? Carrie Tierney, editor of Khimairal Ink Magazine, is holding a two week class that covers the basics of fiction writing. Fiction Writing: Just the Basics is a lecture/discussion format, so you don't have to worry about having a writing sample or doing exercises. You don't even have to be a writer, just someone curious about what editors are looking for when they dig through piles of submissions. The class is free and will be held online from February 19th to March 4th 2007. Visit www.bedazzledink.com/bink-class.html for more information and to sign up.
